Inside Sales Consultant

About the role

Solanta is a family owned and operated company based in Brooklyn. Our in house team designs, engineers, permits and installs residential and commercial solar, battery storage, roofing and electrical work across the NYC metro area: the five boroughs, the Hudson Valley, Long Island and New Jersey.

The Inside Sales Consultant talks with homeowners and building owners who are interested in solar, battery storage, roofing or electrical work, and helps them take the next step.

What you'll do

• Respond to new requests for an estimate that come in through our website and by phone.
• Ask about the property, the roof and what the customer wants to achieve.
• Explain what Solanta does and what happens next, in plain language.
• Schedule site visits and estimates with our outside sales consultants and our in house team.
• Follow up with customers who have not made a decision yet.
• Keep accurate customer records so the next person who speaks with the customer knows where things stand.
• Hand each customer over to the outside sales consultants and our in house team with clear notes.

What we're looking for

• Sales or customer service experience is preferred.
• A clear, friendly communicator by phone and in writing.
• Comfortable keeping customer notes and records on a computer.
• Interested in solar and home energy.
• No special licenses or certifications are required.
• Work schedule and hours: full-time, with flexibility to meet customers' schedules.
